NASCAR Auto Racing.
Create a fantasy racing team roster from a menu of 30 driver matchups
divided into 20 two driver matchups and 10 three driver matchups. Simply draft the driver you feel will be the highest
finisher from each matchup. If you draft the winning driver, you earn
all of the Sprint Cup points earned by every driver in that fantasy
racing matchup. NEW FOR 2007: If you draft a losing driver, you will earn cup points for that driver only.
The popularity of NASCAR auto racing has exploded in the last few
years. With humble beginnings as a specialty sport with a relatively
narrow fan base, NASCAR auto racing has emerged as wildly influential,
cultural phenomenon. In fact, driving in any metropolitan area, you are
more likely to see NASCAR auto racing stickers on people’s vehicles than
practically any other form of expression. There are an estimated 75
million NASCAR auto racing fans in the United States today. This is a
staggering leap from the approximately 20 million strong fan base less
than a decade ago. From 2000-2001 alone, there was a 19% increase in the
NASCAR auto racing fan base, as well as a 36% increase in the number of
households watching NASCAR on TV.
As this real world interest has exploded in our national
consciousness, so too has the interest in NASCAR related websites and
fantasy sports in general. There are currently only a handful of
websites catering to the growing demand for real-time, fantasy NASCAR
auto racing games. Predictably, many of the games that do exist have no
limits as to the number of players that can participate within any given
prize structure. Consequently, many players have been met with the
frustrating experience of competing against up to 10,000 players for
only a few prizes. This, of course, makes the odds of winning less
reasonable and ultimately detracts from the enjoyment of the game
itself.
This is only one of many ways in which our fantasy NASCAR auto racing
game can be distinguished from other fantasy racing games on the Web.
Each division of players will be limited to a maximum of 12 teams. Each
division has its own independent prize structure, with the top players
being awarded a prize. Along with a reasonable entrance fee
for each game, this fantasy NASCAR auto racing game will bring you as
close to the action as you can get, without climbing behind the wheel!
This game has been specifically designed to award players who do the
most thorough and thoughtful research into the real-world game of NASCAR
auto racing. In other words: true NASCAR fans like us! Each game will
allow you to select from 2-driver and 3-driver matchups. Quite simply, you
project the winner in each given matchup. If your prediction is correct,
you win the matchup and earn the same number of points awarded by NASCAR
that all the drivers earn that are competing in the matchup. NEW FOR 2007: If you draft a
losing driver, you will earn cup points for that driver only. The point
system is the same that is used by the drivers and NASCAR to award the
Sprint Cup. However, we will not use the bonus point system that awards
points for leading laps or leading the most laps. The more matchups you
win, the higher your chances of winning a prize. It’s really that easy!
We have made our fantasy NASCAR auto racing game simple so that you
can focus your attention where it belongs—on the game itself. In order
to be successful, you will need to become a true fan. The more devoted
you are to researching and understanding all aspects of NASCAR auto
racing, the higher your chances will be of reaping real material
rewards.
Most importantly however, fantasy NASCAR auto racing is about
enhancing your enjoyment of the sport. Whether you are watching a live
race, or simply watching it on television, your investment in the
fantasy matchups will greatly heighten your experience as a fan. You
will find yourself drawn into deeper levels of disappointment when your
driver loses a race, just as certainly as you will experience the
elation of victory when your driver is successful. This risk, inherent in any sport, is what separates the fantasy auto racing
fan from an ordinary, “safe” spectator.
Are you ready? Then sign up now! The clock is ticking.
